this is montana

[MOMENTS CAPTURED IN THE
STUMBERG FRONT YARD]

AFTER-DINNER FAMILY WALKS.  trying to steal every last glimpse of the sunset that you possibly can, because c'mon, they're TOO breathtaking to miss.  the simpler life in montana is so intriguing to me.  it invites me in and shares its secrets.  i've learned to be content with silence.  i've learned a new definition of 'family togetherness;'  a definition that can only be understood with experience.

i've fallen in love with the world in montana.  this includes:

..the (beyond genuine) people.

..the unique/quirky/hearty cafes, pubs, and restaurants.

..watching chickens running around my backyard, like it ain't no thang, one of which attempted to attack me this morning.

..going to bed early AND sleeping in.  or at least sleeping until the sound of laughter from the kitchen wakens me.

..walking just because, and then walking some more.

..story time.  man oh man, the people in this town of Helena sure are unique (to say the least).

..natural beauty.

..old wooden swinging screen doors.  especially the ones the creak :D

..lots of -ings (i.e., rafting, hiking, climbing, singing, laughing, walking, reading, talking, loving, listening, sleeping, eating, meeting, looking…)

AND IT'S ONLY THE START OF MY SECOND DAY HERE.  oh it is love.
